Book a Table

To secure your table at The Galley, we require a credit/debit card guarantee — but nothing is charged to your card when you book.

The only time a fee applies is for no-shows or very late cancellations. For bookings of up to 15 we require a minimum 2hrs notice of cancellation which can be done from the confirmation text or email you received with your booking. For bookings of 15 or more we require a minimum 24hrs notice of cancellation. We do welcome walk-ins, but booking ahead guarantees your spot and any consideration of priority seating. For more information on window seating, charges and walk-ins, see our Booking FAQs below.

FAQ’s

Need Help?

Will I be charged when I book?

No. Your card is verified to hold the table, but nothing is charged when you make your booking. A fee only applies for no-shows or very late cancellations.

Why do you require a credit card guarantee?

Like many busy waterfront venues, we use a booking guarantee to reduce no-shows and ensure tables are available for guests who genuinely plan to dine. It helps us manage seating fairly for everyone.

Do I have to book?

No, we happily accept walk-ins. However, booking is the only way to guarantee a table.

Do you have a dress code?

We do! Members and their guests and visitors to the Club are expected to observe the Club’s dress requirements when on the Club premises. Smart casual attire is acceptable unless otherwise indicated for particular events or when representing the Royal Motor Yacht Club Port Hacking. Management reserves the right to decide upon appropriate dress standards. You can learn more about our dress regulations here.

Can I request a window table in the bistro?

Absolutely. While we can’t guarantee specific tables, simply leave a note in your booking and our team will do their best to accommodate your request. All seating requests are considered but cannot be guaranteed. To be eligible for priority seating allocation, the credit/debit card guarantee must be completed.

Can I bring my children to RMYC Port Hacking?

The RMYC Port Hacking is a family friendly venue and we warmly welcome children of all ages however there are a few simple house rules in place. Children must be supervised and in the immediate company of a responsible adult at all times. Children are not permitted to approach the bar, enter the gaming area, marina bar or marina forecourt and carpark unaccompanied. Our hose policy is posted in the Club and we kindly ask that you take note and respect these rules whilst visiting the RMYC Port Hacking.

Do I need to be a member of the club to visit?

No. All visitors however must sign in with a valid ID for a safe and enjoyable experience.

How does parking work at the club?

Lower level parking surrounding the club house is only available to Boating Members and their Associates at peak trading times. Should you need to drop off or pick up someone requiring assistance, please use the intercom at the boom-gate reader. During times when the boom-gate is up, all members and guests are welcome to use the lower level parking.
