Saturday - August 13, 2016The weather looks good for both days next weekend, so Saturday was the chosen day.
Migaloo, First Light, Soleil, Free Spirit, L'attitude and Excentric mustered according to the plan off Jibbon beach at 1100 on Saturday morning to sail in company to Wattamolla.
Kickback radioed on their way from Pittwater to say they were on their way by were making slower progress due to choppy seas and a 20k SW wind.
Boats enjoyed lunch on board and most rowed ashore latter to explore
the beautiful Wattamolla beach, lagoon and waterfalls.

Australia Day Broadwater Classic
Tuesday, 26th January 2016
Rain caused the cancellation of the race but by 1200 the skies had cleared and the BBQ and stories were as good as ever.

2016 - Theme The Australian yarn This year we will again perform the typical Australian yarn.
It could be a poem, but ideally a spun yarn told by yourself or played.
If you have a yarn on tape or CD let me have it in advance so it can be played over the sound system.
If you need help see me (I have plenty on tape for you to choose from).
It needs to be a good Australian yarn - one that takes your fancy and one with a twist.
As well as the bottle entry for the Broadwater Classic, a bottle will be required from each couple not spinning an Australian yarn. |
