Port Hacking and the Hacking River is characterised by sand bars with shallow, shifting channels. Even to experienced local skippers, navigation on the Hacking presents an ever-changing challenge. Over the years NSW State governments have been reluctant to maintain navigable channels by funding regular programmed dredging. Your help in completing a grounding incident report will assist in alerting authorities of the need for safe boating navigation
